PETER GOLDRING ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF STUDENT GROUP

Edmonton – Edmonton East Member of Parliament Peter Goldring says he is pleased the Conservative Party of Canada has officially recognized a new campus club at Concordia University College. Approval was given by the party’s national council February 20.

“I am looking forward to working with campus club president Micah Steinke and helping this new club attract members,” Mr. Goldring says. “I know that this club will be an effective, supportive group for the party leader, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and me, as the serving Member of Parliament who has received the party’s nomination for the next election.  It is good to see that Concordia students are interested in politics and the future of our country. I have known Micah for a couple of years and know he will provide leadership to this new group to support Conservative principles and my commitment to serve as the nominated candidate in the next election.”

As Concordia University College is located in the Edmonton East riding, Mr. Goldring anticipates working closely with the group as he has with the presidents, principals and students of Concordia over many years.
